IN MEMORY OF GREGORY SCOTT KING
2nd Annual Greg Scott King Memorial Blood Drive
Hosted by The Gregory Scott King Foundation
Greg had this rare gift; he could walk into a room and instantly make people feel warm, safe, and loved. His laugh was contagious, his smile was the kind you don’t forget, and his heart was genuinely gentle. Anyone who crossed his path felt the impact of his kindness.

He battled sickle cell disease from birth, yet he carried it with unbelievable strength. He never complained and never let pain change who he was. Through hospital stays, pain crises, and transfusions, he stayed the same loving, loyal, soft-hearted man we all cherished.

This blood drive is deeply personal. It’s a way to keep his spirit alive by doing something meaningful, something that helped him so many times. Blood transfusions gave us precious time with Greg, and by donating we get to offer that same gift to someone else.

This is for Greg. This is to honor his life, his strength, and his love.

Types of Blood Donations:
-
Whole Blood Donation
This is the most common type of donation. Whole blood is used to help patients in many ways, from surgeries to trauma care. The process usually takes about an hour and can be done every 56 days.
-
Power Red Donation
Power Red allows you to donate concentrated red blood cells, which is especially beneficial for trauma patients and people with sickle cell disease. The process takes about 90 minutes—but the impact can be greater as more red cells are collected.
